2013 Honda Accord Debut

Honda recently revealed the first images of the much anticipated all-new 2013 Honda Accord Sedan and Accord Coupe, set to go on sale this fall. The most sculpted Accord ever delivers an even more spacious and luxurious passenger cabin wrapped in an upscale, sophisticated exterior designed to stand the test of time.

The 2013 Accord's styling is expressive, sophisticated and premium. Starting in the front, a bold new grille imparts a distinctive and dynamic tension that complements the powerful look of the hood's multiple styling lines. A strong side character line flows through the door handles and flares upward toward the rear of the vehicle to further convey a sense of motion. A deep contour in the rocker panel firmly grounds its visual presence to the road and smartly turns upward to convey a sporty attitude. In the back, the inward slope where the fenders taper into the trunk and C-pillars is designed to convey a powerful, athletic stance from the rear. Full Article...

Upcoming Re-Design Of Honda Accord

You can count on Breakaway Honda to keep you up to date on the upcoming re-design of the Honda accord. The Accord has been the bread and butter car for Greenville and the surrounding areas for decades. If getting the "Right Deal" on the Honda Accord is your goal; now is the time to take advantage of the outgoing model. Accords are priced to sell and have more incentives now than they are expected to have for the remainder of the year and into next year first quarter.

According to AutoGuide, The 2013 Accord will appear similar to the 2012 Honda Accord. The biggest changes will be found below the skin and in the packages, such as the Sport and Touring that trim levels that are expected. The new Accord Sport package is likely a direct response to the Toyota Camry SE. The Camry SE comes equipped with all sorts of sportier options that you wouldn't expect in the usual Camry, like larger wheels and a retuned suspension, as well as paddle shifters and a transmission that actually rev-matches on down-shifts.

Other information hinted so far is that the 2013 Accord will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission or a brand new continuously variable transmission for the 4-cylinder models. With the V6 model, a 6-speed automatic or manual transmission. Expect the new 2013 Accord to hit dealers around September of this year.

The climber and firefighter climb consist of 1,266 total steps. The registration fee of $25.00 per person and the additional fundraising minimum is $100.00 per person. Registration fee and minimum fundraising goal are required per person in order to participate in the event, whether you are an individual or on a team.

The ultra climber will climb the entire arena for a total of 2,955 steps! The registration fee is $25.00 per person and the additional fundraising minimum is $150.00. Registration fee and minimum fundraising goal are required per person in order to participate in the event, whether you are an individual or on a team. Ultra climbers have a time limit of an hour and a half.
  • All participants are professionally timed and ranked by timing chips
  • All climbers will recieve an official Fight For Air Climb Upstate t-shirt and refreshments (must be registered by June 1, 2012 to guarantee a t-shirt)

Honda
Accord Heritage and Timeline - Breakaway Honda

With
its smart size and excellent fuel economy, the first-generation Accord
was a hot seller in the 1970s.
The
second-generation Accord was the first Honda automobile to be assembled
in the U.S.A.
1986
marked the introduction of a notably sleeker Accord, picking up styling
cues from its sporty sibling, the Honda Prelude.
Beginning
in 1990, the Accord was classified as a mid-size sedan and featured a
more powerful 2.2-liter engine.
The
fifth-generation Accord featured a more ergonomic interior, and boasted
more standard safety features than ever, including dual front airbags.
In
1998, the sixth-generation Accord Sedan became the largest Accord ever.
For the first time, the Coupe was treated to its own sportier look,
with exclusive front fascia, wheels and lights.
In
2003, the Accord grew in size, power and refinement again. It continued
to garner spots on Car
and Driver's
10Best list. In 2005, the Accord Hybrid was
introduced.
With
its stately presence, the 2008 Accord was the first to be classified as
a full-size car—and yet this latest generation is still as nimble and
fun to drive as ever. It offers more luxury, more features and better
fuel economy. Plus, V-6 models feature new fuel-saving technologies
like Variable Cylinder Management™.
